    Session 2:  Pastoral Support for the Military in the 20th and 21st Centuries

    Part 1. Appreciating the Military. 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. This panel will include individuals who are experienced and interested in pastoral and social support for soldiers, veterans and their families. Dean Baxter Park. Former Military Chaplain, Dean of Cathedral, Diocese of Western Newfoundland;  Rev. Shawn Samson, Coordinating Chaplain, Canadian Armed Forces; Anne Walsh, Executive Asst. to RC Archdiocese and researcher on Fr. Nangle; Dr. Gail Wideman, PhD, Faculty of Social Work,  MUN Researcher on Support for Soldiers, Veterans and Families.

    Part 2. Just War. 10:30 a.m. Dr. Michelle Rebidoux, PhD, will give an overview of theological and ethical considerations of war.
