Students and faculty members from Queen’s College prepared a meal for families at Ronald MacDonald House (RMH) on Saturday March 03.  The Student Association collected funds to purchase the items needed to prepare roast chicken dinner. The team lead for the project was Dale Careen, (1st year Theology), along with fellow students John Sparkes (3rd year theology) and Anna Rowsell (3rd year theology).  Also, the project had special significance for two of the student participants: Charlie Cox (2nd year Theology) who is a survivor of childhood cancer and Eleanor Ash (3rd year Theology) had a granddaughter from Labrador diagnosed with leukemia and experienced [...]

Queen's College Provost presented at the meeting of Theological Educators in Cyprus. Dr. Rick Singleton and Dr. Leslie Francis, Adjunct Faculty Member were guests of the Diocese of Cyprus and The Gulf. The meeting was organized by Archdeacon John Holdsworth, also an adjunct faculty member of Queen's College. The Rev'd Dr. Alexander (Randy) Daley died in August.  He was great friend of the clergy and Church in NL, and a friend and supporter of Queen’s College.  Randy was awarded the Honorary Doctorate of Divinity at Queen’s College Convocation 2011.  On September 22, friends gathered at Queen’s College Chapel for Memorial Liturgy.  The Rev’d Dr. Boyd Morgan presided, and The Rev’d Dr. Canon Frank Cluett was homilist.   Friends then gathered in the Common Room for a social time and to reminisce about Randy. Dear Friends of Queen’s College: You are invited to a  Memorial Liturgy to celebrate the life of Rev’d Dr. Alexander (Randy) Daley at Queen’s College Chapel, 210 Prince Philip Drive at 11:00 a.m. On September 22, 2017.  This liturgy is arranged to coincide with Randy’s Requiem Liturgy in Dedham, Massachusetts. Randy was a friend of many clergy in Newfoundland and Labrador.  He was wonderful friend and benefactor of Queen’s College.
