The Corporation of Queen’s College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Rick Singleton as Provost and Vice-Chancellor, effective August 1.
Dr. Rick Singleton has been an instructor and adjunct faculty member at Queen’s College since 1994 He is currently Director of Student Programs and holds a professor of ethic and pastoral studies at Queen’s College. He holds a PhD in Health Ethics and a Doctor of Ministry Degree with a specialty in grief and bereavement counselling. He is an adjunct professor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Arts and adjunct professor in the Community Health and Humanities Division,Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University. He is author of the Multi-media Bereavement Resource Program used at sites across NL and in other provinces. He has well over 30 years’ experience in many roles in the health care system in NL.
Dr. Singleton brings a strong commitment to Queen’s College and its future as the College continues its ministry in providing high quality training for those seeking ordination, those ordained who wish to engage in continuing education and lay people who wish to enhance their education and skills to exercise ministry in their own denominational, rural and urban contexts.
The Corporation acknowledges, with deep gratitude, the contribution of Dr. Alex Faseruk who has served as interim administrator for the past few years.
