Welcome to the Queen’s College Website!
Queen’s College’s Core values are Christ-centredness, commitment, development and collegiality. We seek to live these values out in every aspect of our community life. Here we seek to be a welcoming community, living out our faith as we learn together.
Founded in 1841, Queen’s has a long history with the Anglican Church in Newfoundland and Labrador, and our community has widened through the years with ecumenical and international partnerships and with online and distance learning opportunities. We are a diverse community, rooted in prayer and learning. You are welcome to study with us.
We offer a variety of programmes to meet the ever-changing needs of the church and the community, both local and international. Our mission is to train people for both lay and ordained ministry and “to encourage and facilitate the integration of knowledge, skills, and experience with personal faith in order to foster a growing spirituality” (Queen’s Statement of Mission). We provide a safe place where students can explore their questions in a lively learning community.
The College offers courses both on-campus, online and by distance. The experience of working through COVID-19 has informed our learning and we will continue to offer courses online to meet the needs of our students. You can be a part of our community wherever you are and however you can. That includes in the classroom as well as our worship times. Learning together also means praying together and laughing and eating together as well. Queen’s offers both academic integrity and a vibrant sense of community.
