An historical and theological overview of the diaconate as an Order of Ministry within the Church. It explains the connection between permanent diaconate and transitional diaconate. It examines the uniqueness of diaconate and the potential of the permanent diaconate ministry to enhance and empower lay ministries.
The Rev. Dr. David Bell, PhD presented the historical and theological background of the diaconate as it was, as it is and how it can be.
Panel Discussion of deacons and priests sharing their experiences of successes and challenges for diaconal ministry in the pastoral context.
